Make Your Own Mandala (it is easier than you think!) Mandalas have been around for centuries, and are admired for their intricate details and beauty. The ever popular Adult Coloring books, use many of the concepts found in Mandalas. Traditionally, Mandalas were created, not for art, but as a form of discipline. Once complete, it was common practice to give the mandala 'back to the earth' or to offer it up to the wind, the water, etc. This is done for many noble reasons and it strengthened the discipline of the individual involved. We will explore the various forms and shapes mandalas can take, from precise and symmetrical to modern and abstract.

We will look at the various elements that bring a comic story to life. Through the use of shapes, spacing and other elements, we will discover how adding these elements will enhance the visual appeal of your story and bring the reader further into the world you've created.
Cartoons have been around for decades and are a creative way to bring life to any story, express an idea or for plain amusement:) In this class we will look at the elements that are involved in creating a characters, storylines and layouts. For more advanced students we will explore certain methods to refine your characters and work with the intricate details of human proportions and angles. Art is an expression of the one creating it. From stick figures to comic book art, we will discover it all!
Watercolors 101 Have fun learning the fundamentals of working with watercolors. This unique medium offers a wonderful form expression for artists new and experienced. We will look at various tools and hacks for getting maximum use out of your colors and achieving a range of effects.
Art is full of valuable assets that can take many forms and meet a variety of needs. It can be adapted to meet the need for more refinement in motor skills, behavioral tools, or to simply provide a creative outlet. Coloring, painting, working with lines and paper are a great way to promote confidence, awareness of space, tactile stimulations, color associations, and more. This is not solely limited to younger children, but also works well for older children and adults too.
For those with distinct limitations, whom may not be able to actively participate in production of the art, they can contribute to the conception of their master piece through a friendly dialogue with the artist. Though this verbal exchange the artist will create a piece of art designed around the details provided by the client. Not only will the client enjoy seeing their ideas come to life, they will get to keep the final piece as a reminder of a wonderful experience.
